Spanish faience pot, Talavera manufacture, 16/17th century. Decoration in shades of blue representing a landscape with the monastery of Escorial and a gallant scene with figures on horseback. Neck and base decorated with a frieze with plant motifs and the neck decorated with the coat of arms of the Escorial Monastery, with a lion and a grille, an attribute of Saint Lawrence. Wings in the form of anthropomorphic figures, attached to the body of the vase with windings. Verse with inscription. Cut edge, faults, flaws, defects and "craquelé". Height approx.: 39.5cm
