Nª Srª da Assunção, escultura em madeira
Our Lady of the Assumption, sculpture in polychrome, upholstered and gilded wood. Our Lady is represented standing, trampling the serpent with the apple, on clouds with a crescent moon, little angels and the heads of winged angels. She wears long curly hair that falls over her shoulders and has her hands clasped in prayer. It stands on an adapted plinth in gilded and partially hollowed wood, profusely decorated with flowers and plant windings. With eyes in glass. With gold painted metal crown. Marked "AA Estrella / Sculp. / Porto 1907". wear, failures and defects. Am. approx. sculpture: 57 cm.; Approx. total: 82.5 cm.
