Nª Sra. da Conceição, Indo-portuguesa, XVII/XVIII
Nossa Senhora da Conceição, Indo-Portuguese sculpture, from the 16th century. XVII/XVIII, in polychrome and gilded wood. The figure is shown standing, with hands folded in prayer, resting on an inverted crescent moon, the ball of the World with the serpent and three winged angels' heads. She wears long wavy hair falling over her shoulders and back. He wears a long tunic that extends to his feet, tied at the waist with a cord, and he wears a cloak over his shoulders. Base in the shape of an octagonal plinth in marbled wood, later manufactured. Traces of woodworm, wear, failures and defects. Am. approx.: 71.5 cm.
