Nossa Senhora da Conceição, 16th century sculpture. XVII, in polychrome, upholstered and gilded wood. Our Lady, with her hands folded in prayer, is depicted standing on the Crescent of the Moon and a winged angel's head wrapped in clouds. Cropped base decorated with stylized friezes. Failures, repaints and defects. Am. approx.: 51 cm.
